Without question the past 16 months have been challenging. Just when we thought that things were shifting back to the “new normal” the Emerson was struck by lightening – literally and figuratively!

Literally, on June 24th – either the building or the grounds were struck by lightning causing all sorts of mayhem for this 103 year old building. Thankfully, everyone was ok and all of the damage was limited to electronic equipment which is replaceable!

Figuratively, for years we have wanted to expand our adult education programming but we just didn’t have the right space. When one of our long term tenants decided to move on we knew that this was the “strike aka…
