100 RAMS: THIS ONE’S FOR LEE
In the rugged wilderness of the Rocky Mountains, legendary hunting guide and outfitter Lee Hart has dedicated his life to the pursuit of sheep. With 99 successful hunts under his belt (both as hunter and guide), Lee is just one away from an incredible milestone that would cement his legacy. His goal is nearly complete but, at 83 years old, time is running out.

Enter Tyler Johnerson, a lifelong hunter and devoted mentee and friend to Lee. When Tyler draws a coveted, once-in-a-lifetime sheep tag in Lee’s hunt unit, he seizes the opportunity to honor his mentor in a way that only a true friend can, and insists that Lee join him on this final, fateful hunt. Together, they embark on a journey filled with breathtaking landscapes, heart-pounding adventure, and the indomitable spirit of the hunt.

Amidst ups and downs, close calls and setbacks, Tyler’s unwavering determination to honor Lee drives him forward. The climax builds to a thrilling moment, where Tyler takes the shot that could secure Lee’s legacy.

100 Rams: This One’s For Lee is more than just a hunting story; it’s a testament to friendship, mentorship, and the unyielding pursuit of a lifelong dream.”

FRASER RIVER PROJECT
M.ovi (Mycoplasma ovipneumoniae) is the most significant conservation concern for wild sheep. This strain of bacteria is carried by domestic sheep and is easily spread to wild sheep. Once it infects a wild herd, the population can be catastrophically affected.

The Fraser River Project is taking swift action to minimize the spread of M.ovi. By capturing 100% of the ewes and culling all clearly positive sheep the results have been fruitful, and the herd is recovering with increased lamb survival rates.

See the people and the work behind the Fraser River Project in SITKA Gear’s latest Ecosystem Grant Profile.
