John’s work utilizes acrylic paint to the fullest of its physical range. Born and raised in Bozeman, John spent his formative years hiking and experiencing nature with his father.

Artist Statement

He now believes that nature is a vessel for the divine with everything being illuminated by a sacred spark. He thinks about creating his paintings similar to the way a poet tells a story, creating a picture with words. He aspires to create visual poetry; focusing on the synergy of formal artistic elements combined with storytelling.
