Exhibit by Kelley Sullivan
With nature as the heart of Kelley Sullivan’s inspiration, she aims to create a complex, emotional landscape by building layer upon layer; dipping, soaking, and drenching the canvas after each application of paint until images emerge.

Artist Statement
She adds final details with charcoal, oil pen, and other mixed media. Kelley carries a strong belief that art should evoke a powerful response, with feelings deeply personal to each viewer. The organic movement of paint within water allows her to work with little preconceptions, letting the medium decide much of its own path.
Kelley’s work has been shown extensively across the United States. “Angels and Monkeys”, “Sojourn”, and “Those Among Us” have been published in mixed media coffee table books, she was awarded the best of show award at the Ridgway Art Show just outside of Telluride, CO., and “Buried Bones” was awarded second place at the Dimensions 2017 Exhibition at the Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts in Winston-Salem, NC. Many of her paintings can be found in private collections throughout the U. S., Canada and Mexico.
